ABOUT BACKWOODS HRC
Our Story
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce the Backwoods Hunting Retriever Club. We are dog owners, trainers and breeders who are dedicated to improving the breed through quality breeding and training. Our club sponsors a Hunt test in the spring, as well as having multiple training days throughout the year. Whether you are interested in having an obedient hunting companion or a dog capable of running test and trials we can help you out.
We’re lucky in that we have members with all types of hunting breeds. At a typical training day you’ll see Labrador Retrievers, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Standard Poodles, Golden Retrievers, Boykin Spaniels, Flat Coat Retrievers, and others. No matter what the breed or experience level of you or your dog, I’m sure we can help you and your dog become a better team.
